NWCC helps raise £4,500 for Charities
The North Wales Car Club and other local clubs helped raise £4,500 for two charities, Spinal Research and Wales Air Ambulance at a charity auction night on July 13th at the NWCC clubhouse in Llandudno Junction. The charity night was in conjunction with the Charity Bike Ride by Welsh Rally Cyclists riding from Holyhead to Swansea.
The evening was hosted by Howard Davies and included a host of auction prizes, raffle and forum – it was certainly good fun. Rallying legend Gwyndaf Evans attended the evening and was put on the spot with some interesting questions. Competitor Huw Hunter, sponsor of last years Cambrian Rally also attended and successfully bidded for a testing day out with Gwyndaf in his Mk2 escort.
The North Wales Car Club would like to extend its thanks to committee members Rob Formstone and Claire Thomas for their hard work and to Dave Thomas for organising a great night.
Further charity nights are being organised by Welsh Border CC (Wednesday 14th), Aberystwyth & DMC or Tregaron MC (Thursday 15th), Carmarthen MC (Friday 16th) and Port Talbot MC at the finish (Saturday 17th) – full details of the event, from organiser Mark Lewis, are available on http://www.anwcc.org/wrc-brc.htm
